About
The Simian Defense Force (SDF) Corporation began 5 Generations ago when Javis Carlyle discovered an Artifact that had long ago passed through the EVE gate, and traveled hundreds of thousands of kilometers across deadspace. The Artifact contained ancient archeological evidence that pointed to a race once known as the Simians, who spread a Golden Age of Enlightenment and Transition across their galaxy. For a time, the Simians reached out to the legendary planet, Earth, and desired to usher humanity into their Golden Age.
However, on the Simian homeworld, seat of the Holy Simian Empire, disaster struck as Vice Chancellor Remus used his position as the Vice Chancellor of Defense, and his secret position, as a member of the Simiad, to conspire and murder the other two secret Leaders. Absolute power became his alone as he ascended to become the first Simian Emperror in at least 5,000 years.
On Earth, a genetically modified military unit, the 121st Special Warfare Battalion, known amoung themselves as the S.D.F, became the seat of resistance to this would be Emperror. Their heroic general, Marshal General Simian Smith, who always fought for right, whatever the odds, and the power-mad cleric, Archbishop Simian Jones, who sought only to kill the upstart Emperror Remus, led a resistance movement that spanned solar systems.
But alas, little more data than that could be recovered from the Artifact that Javis discovered. Perhaps the artifact was the crashed remnants of a space vessal from amid the very Simian Civil War, but it had incomplete records, and eve those were sparse at best.
Javis, and later his twin sons, Malikai and Alexios, founded the Simian Defense Force Corporation, whose charter was to seek out and find other Artifacts that could have passed through the EVE Gate into New Eden. Perhaps the rest of that story could be learned, perhaps the Golden Age of the Simians could be rekindled in these desperate times.
Generations passed, but Javis' passion for the Simians became the stuff of legends, perhaps even the stuff of Faith. Over the course of years, the membership of the S.D.F. Corporation has become devout, religious in the extreme in their pursuit of other Simian Artifacts.
"Only Sima knows the whens and the hows," they often say.
And so the story of the Simians continues on, all these thousands of years later.
