With ties to the infamous Angel Cartel, Khai Mera quickly established itself in various facets of the underworld including narcotics, slave trade, and smuggling operations.
The name is dedicated to the chimera, a mythical beast and holovatar used by an outcast Matari Mindclash competitor who went on to upset a regional tournament that earned the Syndicate's CEO a tidy sum.
Unlike its cursed nature in mythology books, the Chimera was seen as a source of good luck amongst members of the gang and soon became a symbol that defined their organization. Today, every member is inscribed with a nanotattoo of this monster as part of the initiation process into the group.
