Vanu Sovereignty. [VANU.]

In the year 21135 AD an Amarrian reconnaissance vessel stumbled upon a small, beautiful planet which was rich with vast amounts of rare, alien resources. The planet was known to most at the time as "Auraxis". This was at a time when the grand Amarrian Empire was expanding exponentially, seeking to conquer, capture and enslave entire worlds. As such, there was little debate as to whether this planet should be any exception and thus the go ahead was given... A full Amarrian invasion of Auraxis. Now, the empress was already well aware that the planet was currently inhabited by an intelligent species, but with their eyes fixed on the immense potential of this planet's special alien resources, the arrogance of the Amarrians shined greater than ever before and so she gave little thought to the strategical planning of the invasion, expecting shear numbers to overcome any defenses of the local population... What a grave mistake that was... The invasion began... Hundreds of imperial ships from frigates to carriers departed their anchorage in the Throne Worlds equipped with many thousands of troops, fighter craft, supplies and rapid-depoyable-structures without a shadow of doubt that they will return to a glorious celebration of their victory... As the Amarrian fleet arrived at Auraxis they saw nothing unexpected, no sign of defense or pending attack... Their confidence was seemingly justified, they began to deploy their land arsenal to secure the planet. But the Amarrian's had never made contact with the local inhabitants before, the Vanu Sovereignty, an empire themselves embroiled in an ever lasting conflict between the New Conglomerate, a rebel group fighting for a free world, and the Terran Republic, a tyrannous nation who sought to remove people's freedom and rights altogether... The Vanu Sovereignty, it turned out, had already made full extensive use of the planet's vast supply of alien resources and were well aware of the pending attack from above, the Amarrian attack fleet. Upon landing, the Amarrian's encountered technology and brute force like they've never seen before, commanded by purple-clad warriors capable of acts more vicious than even the Emperess could ever imagine... It was a blood bath... The Amarrian's arrogance had led to such strategical incompetence that they had inadvertently deployed their ground forces in a Vanu held tech plant, a vital facility used for the manufacture of the Vanu's technological masterpiece, the "Magrider" hover tank, feared by all who oppose them and remembered in the nightmares of men who have fought against them. As such, it was extremely heavily defended by the war-scarred warriors... The Amarrians didn't stand a chance... The body count numbered in the thousands... The Vanu Sovereignty command did not know who these new aggressors were, they did not care... Being involved in an ever lasting war spanning generation after generation, war was just a part of every day life. They quickly reacted to the new threat and deployed strike fighters to engage the enemy capital fleet in orbit above the planet... Despire holding their own for quite some time, the Amarrians were pushed back.. Unable to recall any of their land troops, they had to retreat back to the Throne Worlds not just defeated, but entirely crushed. The empress felt betrayed, humilated and embarrassed by her nation's defeat but also feared that she may have just awoken an ancient evil that would threaten her empire so she ordered an envoy to Auraxis on a mission of peace to try and learn their new enemy and, if possible to create a diplomatic alliance beneficial to both parties. As fate would have it, the Vanu shared very similar goals and leadership styles as the Amarrians and it was decided that war was pointless.
