New Eden Small Space Claims Court is a Concord sanctioned court which allows you to institute minor civil claims in a speedy, affordable and simple manner.
Who may institute a claim?
- Anyone except juristic persons such as Companies, Close Corporations and Associations.
- A person under 18 must be assisted by a parent or legal guardian.
Why submit a claim?
- Have you been unjustly ganked in New Order territory? You are entitled to reimbursment.
- Defamation, calumny, and vilifictation are crimes and you can seek monetary damages against the libeler.
- Petitions often take a long time to resolve. NESSCC can provide quick resolutions to any small claim.
STEPS TO FOLLOW
Step 1: Contact the opposing party and request them to satisfy your claim. If the opposing party does not satisy your claim, send them a written demand and copy our clerk of court
Step 2: The clerk of court will will examine your documents and assist you in drawing up a summons which will be served to the opposing party by registared evemail. The clerk of court will assign a time and place for the court to convine.
Step 3: during the hearing both parties must abide by these rules.
- Ensure you have all relavant documents
- Ensure that all your witenesses are present
- If you have engaged the services of a space lawyer you must verify said lawyer is a registared small claims court space lawyer.
- Answer the questions of the judge and submit your exhibits
- No cross-examination between party is allowed. With the judges permission you may, however put a few questions to the opposing party.
Step 4: Judgement of the court is final. Any court ordered costs must be paid in full after judgement is final.
Due to rising costs New Eden Small Space Claims Court will charge a nominal feee of 5mil isk to file any complaint. These fees are nonrefunable and must be paid in advance. Pro bono cases can be requested if the circumstances permit.
