VANU SOVEREIGNTY. PART OF THE MINMATAR REPUBLIC We are reborn In the year 21135 AD an Amarrian reconnaissance vessel stumbled upon a small, beautiful planet which was rich with vast amounts of rare, alien resources. The planet was known to most at the time as "Auraxis". This was at a time when the grand Amarrian Empire was expanding exponentially, seeking to conquer, capture and enslave entire worlds. As such, there was little debate as to whether this planet should be any exception and thus the go ahead was given... A full Amarrian invasion of Auraxis. The Vanu Sovereignty, fierce purple-clad warriors, who were already embroiled in a multi-sided front against their age old enemies while fighting to defend their home planet against the freedom fighting New Conglomerate and the tyrannous Terran Republic, were caught entirely off guard by the Amarrian invasion... The Amarr Empire hit so hard that the entire Vanu frontline was reduced to smoldering ash in mere days, something their long standing enemies had failed to do over centuries. It was a bloodbath. And so it had happened, the great Vanu Soveriegnty had been conquered, squashed like a bug, any survivors enslaved and forced to work in the mines by this new hostile force, the Amarr Empire, excavating the valuable minerals they had sworn to protect for centuries. But you would be a fool to underestimate the Vanu Sovereignty... Creators of the infamous Magrider Hover Tank, ferocious fighters from birth and acutely devout believers in their purple god, 'Vanu'. There was good reason that they had remained undefeated over hundreds of years despite persistent attacks by their enemies. Rest assured that this fight had only just begun. Years of slavery passed by and the Amarr's ego and ever growing lust for the further expansion of their evil empire kept them blind to the growing rebellious attitude and growth in number of the enslaved Vanu 'miners'. Regular strikes and violent uprisings against the Amarrian guard became more and more common, arms supplies were being successfully ferried into the mine using underground tunnels which had been paintstakingly dug out and connected to the once mighty Vanu Sovereignty outposts and tech plants. The strikes and protests turned into pre-planned attacks on the guard, which turned into the liberation of 1 mine, then another, and another... By this point, the Amarrian high command had heard of the Vanu's successful attempts to liberate parts of their homeworld, and had dispatched limited reinforcements to contain the outbreak, but they weren't enough... No army would be large enough to save them from what the Vanu had planned, they were hell bent on the absolute annhilation of the Amarr Empire. The Vanu Soveriegnty ofcourse, having now liberated all previously held territory, were surprised to see that their 2 original enemies, the NC and the TR, had been so busy fighting each other that they had failed to take much advantage of all of the Vanu's lost territory, and so they re-opened their production lines and began spewing out tanks, weaponry and battle tactics, fighting with a refreshed furiosity that would make their name truly echo through the lanes of space and time. An enemy of an enemy is a friend, and it wasn't long before the reborn Vanu Sovereignty was contacted by the Minmatar Republic, and it turns out they had alot in common as i'm sure you can imagine, ex slaves fighting against the Amarr Empire for revenge, for freedom... For survival. The Minmatar proposed an alliance based on their common interests against the Amarr, the Vanu accepted. This was their first alliance, finally they had found another race in the depths of space that wanted friendship in place of hostilities... And so it began, a partnership expected to stand the tests of time and secure victory for all that's right... The purple and the red have become one... Public Chat - VANU. HAIL VANU!!
