Ancient Gnostics equated Abraxas to the Jewish God Y-H-V-H, the Zoroastrian idea of Zurvan, and the Greco-Roman idea of Aeon-Ouranos and Chronos as one being. In Jungian Psychology, Abraxas symbolizes integration and undifferentiated oneness of self (the unity of all levels of self). This idea of God, seems very appropriate to Amarrians, for Abraxas is kind and harsh, a union of dualities as one harmonious opposition... Also very much in line with the Abrahamic Deity (Jewish, Christian, & Muslim idea of God the Father), who can be loving and compassionate, and also wrathful and stern.
