About

u'con\xb7tin\xb7u\xb7um noun a continuous sequence in which adjacent elements are not perceptibly different from each other, although the extremes are quite distinct. "at the fast end of the fast-slow continuum" MATHEMATICS the set of real numbers. ♂ The Maddox Contiuum. We are a Mining / industrial based corperation. Living and working in Providence NULL space. We value our freedom in eve and if you do to come join us! NRDS: FREEDOM VS SECURITY NOT RED DON’T SHOOT In Eve, many players are used to the engagement rules of NBSI, or Not Blue Shoot It, as a way to deal with potential hostiles entering their space. NBSI has been an integral part of bloc operation for years, and is the de facto policy of many blocs in Eve. Finding someone who doesn\'t abide by NBSI outside of a few certain areas in space is quite rare; however, for quite some time, there was another set of engagement rules that was used quite frequently. Not Red Don\'t Shoot, or NRDS, is the second most common policy, employed in some areas of lowsec, NPC nullsec, and - most importantly - Providence. NRDS is a policy born out of the early days of EVE. NRDS was originally championed in Providence by Curatores Veritatis Alliance. When Providence was still largely a roleplaying entity, NRDS was seen as civilization in a wilderness of barbarism. It was considered honorable to not shoot everyone you saw. Today, NRDS is seen more as a method of maintaining order and civilization in Providence as opposed to an honorable creed. NRDS operates from a basic principle: if the pilot in front of you has no standing, they are not to be fired upon. If a pilot or organization has never made any hostile act toward you, then you have no reason to harm them. It sounds very civilized on the surface, at least until you dig deeper. There are so many reds that the 2500 slots allowed to an alliance for standings can not hope to contain the massive red list that must be maintained by a NRDS alliance. To make the KOS system work, a massive, publicly accessible database of pilots, corps and alliances is maintained by CVA. HOW LARGE IS THE KOS LIST? The KOS List includes nearly all of EVE. Nearly every nullsec entity outside of Providence is red. In fact, the majority of neutrals that exist are players in NPC corps, and those are often hostiles abusing the system to appear neutral. To counteract this, players in NPC corps who have a red standing corp in their employment history are determined to be “red by last corp”. A majority of players in the NPC corps are, in fact, red to Providence. Below you will find a map of New Eden based on Providence standing.'
