Sansha Kuvakei showed New Eden the true untold horrors of cybernetic and genetic augmentations and the powers that they could bestow and the horrors they could unleash. He pushed the research and discovery of augmentations to new hights and places, but much further than the empires were comfortable with, and he paid the price for doing so.
Corporations stepped up to continue the less horrifying aspects of Kuvakei's research, but due to the horrifying associations that were left from Sansha's Nation, everyone was extremely wary of associating and investing into these new corporations that seeked to push the thresholds of the technology. One or two corporations, like Genolution made it big, but the rest like Augmented Genetics lay in the shadows, waiting for their big break to happen
