The thinking player's alternative to NPC corps--who tax you at 11% on all mission rewards and bounties over 100k ISK. With a 1% tax rate, we will never anchor any structures or take any other action which renders the corp vulnerable to war declarations--our members can mission/mine/rat in just as much safety as NPC corp members, but at a much lower tax rate.
