AEGIS Umbrorum [AEGUM]

A formal corporation created to represent the interests and holdings of the Warclone Clan AEGIS Umbrorum, warclone membership cannot be accurately reflected at this time. --------------------------------------- CONCORD's Authority for Emergency Interdiction and Security (AEGIS) was set up in response to increasing losses of interstellar shipping in YC120. When the Triglavian Invasions began in YC121, AEGIS became responsible for orbital defense and planetary fortification co-ordination. As the Triglavian Collective pressed its invasion campaign forward in YC122, AEGIS became the central military command for EDENCOM's efforts to increase the defenses of New Eden systems. During the Triglavian invasion of the Skarkon system, a number of Warclones of The Bosena Accords offered a ceasefire during the Skarkon II civil war in order to Support EDENCOM during the invasion, but were promptly refused by the commander of local forces Kril Efrit. Many Warclones decided to continue to support the defense and evacuation of the civilian populations of the world despite this. Many of those warclones joined a political faction within the Accords in support of the baseliner populace within Pochven, but not necessarily to EDENCOM itself, seeing it as another in a long list of enemies that they must endure. The AEGIS Umbrorum clan of Warclones was formally created shortly after the ascension of Thaddeus Reynolds to the Warden of Avalon, and Executive of The Bosena Accords, his title and call-sign of Blackshield was combined with AEGIS in order to form a name for this faction. Shunned and Vilified by EDENCOM, Warclones of AEGIS Umbrorum work to protect and preserve the mortal lives of baseliners, especially those on the occupied or conquered worlds within the Pochven, advancing what they see as the spirit of what EDENCOM and AEGIS should have represented, but not what in their view they came to represent.
