The Vanguard was commissioned in YC 123 under the authority of Lady Mitara Newelle, Champion to the departed Heir Merimeth Sarum, and direct vassal to the Lord Arrach Sarum. It is currently under the command her consort, Aldrith Newelle as Lord Marshal of Newelle Family's armed forces. With the strength of these bonds behind their oath of service, they seek to benefit the interests of House Sarum and allies primarily through honorable combat against other capsuleer foes of the House, Empire and Faith.
