The primary responsibility of the Metropolitan Spaceway Authority is to provide support to the Department’s community-based policing efforts by enhancing community outreach efforts, providing advanced level of in-service training, providing support to Area and specialized detectives locating known, violent criminals, providing resources for warrant services, and the apprehension of fugitives throughout the designated or assigned jurisdiction. Other assignments range from high-risk barricaded situations, stakeouts, dignitary (VIP) security, warrant service, training Department personnel in tactics along with assisting investigators in solving major crimes if requested by other CONCORD or Directive Enforcement Department (DED) agency's.
This capsuleer based entity may attack suspect or criminal flagged capsuleers or NPC's at their discression in high or lows security space, and has the ability to call for assistance from nearby sectors if the need arises.
The Metropolitan Spaceway Authority is known for its mostly peaceful activities in the area's of which they operate and are assigned to, and have been known to practice experimental operations such as research, industry, mining, bounty hunting and have been regarded by many to be the first capsuleer DED contracted agency with the credentials and experience to back it up.
